Our services have been specifically architecture to deliver unquestionable performance, security and scalability. Designed from the ground up in conjunction with Dell's professional services team our high availability SaaS (Software as a Service) environment provides you with the opportunity to utilise and depend on the highly relevant IT services that we provide.
Our commitments to provide our customers with outstanding service are coupled with our duty to provide reduce our carbon footprint. We only use high density racks, low power servers and virtualisation technology to ensure that as a business we have minimised our carbon footprint where achievable.
Located in an area not prone to flooding, all floors are raised to a minimum of 480mm making water ingress unlikely.

Fire prevention
The whole data centre is equipped with fully redundant, automated Argonite fire suppression systems. Smoke detection is via a redundant VESDA smoke detection system. Gas release will stop any fire without affecting the operational abilities of non threatened equipment. The system is redundant, and is independent of the building's fire suppression system.

Data storage and backup
All data is held on a high availability EMC storage area network (SAN). All data is replicated real-time between two fibre connected physical storage networks ensuring maximum data integrity. Back-up routines are run utilising Commvault, which takes a copy of all customer data transferring it to magnetic tape. Tape drives are fully redundant and media taken off site on regular intervals.

Technology
Our data centres are designed to a carrier grade specification. We only work with leading partners who can provide solutions that will enable us to maintain a high level of data security for our customers.
External connections to our data centres are secured through Checkpoint security systems running intrusion detection for added protection. All sub-systems are continually updated to prevent malicious attacks. Applications servers run multiple antivirus engines whilst all main traffic is filtered by front end servers (running Microsoft Forefront technology) to prevent mail born viruses from entering customer environments.

The data centre facility is a direct HV client whilst back-up power supplies are delivered via an MGE UPS and 1100 KvA Catapillar diesel generator. Separate and diverse power source grids are utilised to mitigate the risk from loss of power to equipment cabinets delivering 100% resilience through dual feeds delivered through separate PDUs.

High availability servers operating under a full VMWare environment
All servers are delivered to a high specification and in all cases hardware is fully redundant to prevent single points of failure. Operating a fully virtualised server environment under an extensive VMWare environment enables us to deliver amazing levels of performance.

Communications
The facility is supported by diverse communications feeds being fed exclusively from different geographical locations. High bandwidth resilient connections are delivered to the equipment cabinets from a selection of tier 1 network providers over a BS ISO/IEC27001 & ISO9000 certified network.

Security
We maintain and build a high level of security into our solutions. The data centre site is monitored and manned by 24/7 security whilst being connected to an extensive fully monitored system for CCTV, intruder and fire. All systems are connected externally to both the Police and Fire services.
The data centre compound is only accessible by persons who have verified their legal identity and provided an image of their fingerprint. Access to areas where servers are housed is by the use of proximity based card locks and fingerprint recognition technology.
We follow documented procedures for information security, business continuity and risk management in line with BS7799.
